Client:
Large public company with both US domestic and international operations.

 

Client Requirements:
Review current charges and determine rates applied and areas to target for reduction to ensure they were getting the “best” rate according to service needs.

 

Services to be reviewed:  

International and US domestic voice services.

 

Situation:

Client was investigating ways to reduce monthly spending.  Key area of focus was domestic and international voice calling.

 

Scope of Project:
Competitive rate determination and analysis – international and US domestic    

 

Discovery:

Customer learned that only a small percentage of calls were billed at the lowest contract rate.

 

An analysis of the Customers call patterns, usage volumes and locations was conducted using rates from service providers meeting Customer criteria.  The analysis revealed that the Customer was paying a major Telecom service provider rates that were, in some cases 100 to 200 percent higher than average rates. 

 

Outcome:

  • Estimated savings from rate reductions were (projected to be) in the range of $30,000 per month.

  • Customer was extremely satisfied with the quick service and quality reporting.  He planned to use the recommendation report to re-negotiate rates or change providers.
